As far as women's powder skis go, the Nordica Santa Ana 110 Free has sat at the top of that list for years on end. With subtle tweaks made along the way, this amazing powder ski comes back unchanged from last season except for a minor cosmetic update. The Santa Ana 110 Free offers premium floatation, a pleasantly playful personality and unsuspecting versatility. The construction of this ski features a wood core, two laminates of carbon stringers and a sheet of Terrain Specific Metal which provides stability where it's needed and playfulness where its desired. Being the widest ski in the Santa Ana Collection, the 110 Free gets the least amount of metal in its construction, ultimately making it better suited to the conditions it was designed to be skied in. A generous amount of tip and tail rocker provide plenty of floatation as well as effortless maneuverability for surfing even the deepest of storms. While you can imagine how well this ski preforms in softer conditions, it wouldn't be fair if we didn't touch upon this ski's performance in firmer snow. Whether it's wind buffed snow up high, tracked out snow, or just a skied-off groomer at the end of the day, the sidecut, camber and tip shape of the Santa Ana 110 Free give the ski a superior performance to a lot of other skis in this category when it comes to handling conditions outside of deep powder. The tip of this ski, along with all of the other Santa Anas, is shaped in a way that provides a lot of surface area for substantial float, but the more you lay the ski over, the more you get to take advantage of a longer effective edge, giving this ski a lot of added stability in conditions you might not have expected to enjoy with this ski in particular. Upper end intermediate to expert level skiers will enjoy the balanced performance of the Nordica Santa Ana 110 Free.
